Advanced Petrochemical shuts down propylene plant for 10 days

Advanced Petrochemical Co.’s propylene plant will shut down for a maximum of ten days starting from Feb. 22, 2019 to perform essential assessment for critical reliability improvements, the company said in a bourse statement.

 

Polypropylene plant will continue operating at lower throughput utilizing inventories available in the tank, as well as outsourced propylene, the statement added.

 

The financial impact depending on the expected prices of polypropylene and feedstock will be reflected in the financial results of the first quarter of 2019.
