Al Yamamah Organizes Al Yamamah Engineering Forum 2019

In a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Al Yamamah University is organizing Al Yamamah Engineering Forum 2019 on Sunday and Monday, 10-11 March 2019. The forum is entitled, “The Role of Architecture in Achieving Economic Transformation and Sustainable Development in Vision 2030”.

 

International and local keynote speakers will participate in panel discussions and a selection of papers, submitted by major governmental and private institutions and companies, as well as specialized research papers from experts in engineering and architecture will be presented.

 

In reference to the importance of the forum, Prof. Hussam Ramadan, President of Al Yamamah University and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said: “Al Yamamah Engineering Forum, which will provide a platform for researchers and participants to interact and exchange knowledge, aims to review the various theoretical and practical aspects of the engineering industry in order to develop solutions to the challenges faced by Saudi Arabia.”

 

Prof. Ramadan added that the forum would discuss five important topics which are: smart cities and their role in achieving sustainable development, large civilizational projects and their role in strengthening the national economy, engineering and industrial revival of Saudi Arabia "A Futuristic Vision", opportunities and challenges in renewable energy and the stock of natural resources and its impact on the diversification of the economy.

 

Prof. Ramadan pointed out that the forum is rich with a variety of valuable research papers which will be presented by speakers from government agencies and the private sector. The papers cover topics such as the role of architecture in economics, the identity of urban transformations, intelligent and adaptive structures, solar energy in buildings, the Internet of Things for smart cities, the integration of solar systems, and many other important topics.
