Saudi architecture firm wins contest to design world's largest city park

Saudi-based architectural consultancy, Omrania, won the international competition to design the King Salman Park, which is set to become the largest city park in the world.

Spread across 13.4 square kilometers area, King Salman Park will be located on the grounds of the old airport in Riyadh.

Besides residences and hotels, it will also feature a Royal Arts Complex, theaters, museums, cinemas, sports venues, water features, restaurants and an 18-hole Royal Golf Course.

 

The park will also boast several landmark assets, including the Riyadh Fountains and a Vertical Garden.
