Monsha’at offers SAR 233 mln government fee refunds to SMEs

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority’s (Monsha’at) has paid SAR 233 million to 9,810 companies as part of the government fee refunding initiative, Al-Eqtisadiah reported, citing Monsha’at deputy governor Mohammed Al-Malky.

Average installments amounted to SAR 26,200, while the number of refund requests reached 15,450, so far, he said.

The refunded fees include the amounts paid for employing expatriates, commercial registration, commerce camber memberships, municipal permits, and Saudi post subscriptions, among other fees, he added. 

According to data compiled by Argaam, King Salman issued a royal decree in 2017 to allocate SAR 72 billion for implementing the private sector stimulus, which included a SAR 7 billion plan to refund government fees to SMEs.
