Saudi POS transactions rise 27% in February 2019

Point-of-sale (POS) transactions in Saudi Arabia saw a 27 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase to SAR 19.5 billion in February, figures from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) show.

 

Data showed that 100.2 million transactions were processed through nearly 358,800 points-of-sales in shopping malls, retail stores, and pharmacies.

Cash withdrawals declined 2 percent YoY to SAR 54.98 billion through 163.2 million transactions processed across 18,700 ATMs in February.
