The Saudi Ministry of Municipal & Rural Affairs (MoMRA) signed eight agreements to improve services and maintain solid infrastructure of the Kingdom’s road network and utilities, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The deals were concluded with Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC), Saudi Telecom Co. (STC), Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily), Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain Saudi), Integrated Telecom Co. (ITC), Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO), Dawiyat Integrated Telecommunications & Information Technology and National Water Co. (NWC).
The new agreements will come into effect on July 4, 2019.
No further details were provided about the value of these deals.
The move comes in line with King Salman’s royal decree, which aims to protect public utilities through joint efforts of all competent ministries and authorities.
