Arabian Cement Co. received a letter from the National Electricity Transmission Co. stating that the expansion of Rabigh 380/110 high-voltage station is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2021.

The delay in finishing Rabigh mills project will not cause any change in cost, and it won’t have any impact on the firm’s financial results, the cement producer said in a statement on Tadawul.

According to data compiled by Argaam, Arabian Cement inked in May 2015 a SAR 145 million contract with the national grid company to supply the cement producer with 49 megawatts of electricity at its Rabigh plant.

The project was scheduled for completion in 36 months.
