Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi on Thursday, who is currently on his first official visit to the Kingdom.
During the meeting, they exchanged talks on Saudi-Iraqi relations and a number of bilateral issues of mutual interest, state news agency SPA reported.
The Iraqi prime minister’s meeting with the crown prince comes after he met Saudi King Salman on Wednesday.
The two countries signed 12 agreements and memorandums of understanding between their various ministries. The deals covered many areas including energy, education, culture and political consultation.
Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia reopened a consulate in Baghdad which had been closed for 30 years.
King Salman also announced investment of $1 billon to build sport facilities in Iraq.
