Haramain Railway transported 300,000 passengers so far

The Haramain High-Speed Railway has transported 300,000 passengers since it started operations in September 2018 on board 700 trips, Operations and Maintenance Director Rayan Al-Harbi said.

 

The railway has the capacity to transport 60 million passengers per year between the cities of Makkah and Madinah, making the project the biggest high-speed transport project in the region, he said at a monthly meeting at the Saudi Public Transport Authority (PTA).

 

The railway’s five stations in Rabigh, Madinah, Makkah, King Abdullah Economic City and King Abdulaziz Airport offer prime services such an electronic booking.
