Dubai’s Souq.com becomes Amazon.ae in UAE

Souq.com, one of the region’s largest online retailers acquired by global e-commerce giant Amazon has ceased to exist in the UAE. Amazon and Souq on Wednesday announced the launch of Amazon.ae, a new marketplace for customers in the UAE.

Vendors and businesses who were selling on Souq will continue to sell on Amazon.ae that features over 30 million products from local and international businesses including products previously available on Souq and five million products from Amazon US, said a statement.

 

Souq.com will still be available to customers in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
