The second phase of Saudi Arabia's inclusion in FTSE Russell Emerging Market Index will start today, May 1 based on closing prices of April 30, 2019 with an inclusion factor of 15 percent.
The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) expects SAR 2.7 bln passive inflows upon implementation of the second phase of inclusion.

The first phase of the equity market's inclusion in FTSE, S&P indices began on March 18, Argaam reported.
The closing auction session was extended to 20 minutes with a trading volume of 55.4 million shares, traded in 4,363 transactions, at a total value of SAR 2.5 billion.
FTSE Russel said Tadawul’s inclusion in the emerging markets index will take place in five tranches over the course of 12 months.
Saudi Arabia is estimated to have an index weight of 0.25 percent in the FTSE Global Equity Index Series, and 2.7 percent in the FTSE Emerging All Cap Index.
