Saudi special residency fee said to cost over $200,000

The fee for special privileged Iqama (residency permit) will be SAR 800,000 ($213,333), Saudi Gazette reported citing ‘well-informed sources’.

 

The fee for one-year temporary Iqama will cost SAR 100,000 ($26,666), the newspaper reported quoting sources informed of the matter.

 

Last week, Saudi Arabia’s Council of Ministers had approved the creation of a residency permit scheme for qualified international expatriates.

 

Saudi Arabia has announced the executive regulations for the new residency scheme, which will come into effect as of today (May 19).
