The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) launched a series of workshop sessions in Riyadh to support the development phase for Diriyah’s museum experiences, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
As part of the development of cultural tourism megaproject Diriyah Gate, the workshops will entertain, educate and gather people from all over the world.
Along with the latest global thinking with national priorities under Vision 2030, the workshops will support the development of the Kingdom’s national museum strategy as renowned museum curators and researchers visit various heritage institutions in and around Diriyah.
“There is great value in collaboration, transparency and cooperation among partners and experts, both domestically and internationally, to offer true authenticity for visitors in Diriyah,” Dr. Diana Segantini, Chief of Culture and Heritage at the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, said.
“At the end of 2019, during the first Diriyah Season, we look forward to showcasing a range of cultural experiences that demonstrate the rich culture and heritage Saudi Arabia has to offer in line with Vision 2030’s efforts to attract tourists from all over the world,” DGDA CEO Jerry Inzerillo added.
DGDA was established in July 2017 to preserve Diriyah’s culture, celebrate its community and make it known globally as a landmark that celebrates Saudi culture and history.
