Saudi Arabia has employed 64,000 locals from January to April 2019 as part of its Saudization drive, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Minister of Labor and Social Development of Saudi Arabia, said in a tweet.
"The Saudization initiatives and agreements signed with public and private entities have contributed to these positive results were contributed," Al-Rajhi added.
The ministry will continue to follow up all agreements to achieve target outcomes under the Saudi Vision 2030, he concluded.
The unemployment rate among Saudi Arabian citizens dropped to 12.5 percent in Q1 2019, from 12.7 percent in the previous quarter, Argaam reported.
