Credit facilities extended to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and micro businesses jumped 18 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 113.2 billion in Q1 2019, data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.
Banks accounted for SAR 105 billion worth of credit facilities, or 92.8 percent of total financing. Facilities given by financing institutions stood at SAR 8.15 billion, or 7.2 percent of total credit facilities.
