Millennium confirms 'exclusive' rights to operate Makkah Hotel and Towers

Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa confirmed in a statement on Sunday its “exclusive” rights to manage and operate Makkah Millennium Hotel and Towers without the interference of the owner or other parties.

 

The statement added that the owner of Makkah Millenium Hotel and Towers had “unlawfully” violated the operation and management terms on June 13, 2019.

 

The hotel operator further said that it is pursuing all legal courses to protect its rights within the Kingdom. 

 

Makkah Construction and Development Co. (MCDC) announced earlier that it has terminated its agreement with Millennium & Copthorne Middle East Holdings Limited to operate and manage the firm’s five-star hotel towers in Makkah, adding the decision came after the operator claimed "force majeure" for failing to implement core terms of the contract.
