Qiddiya Investment Co. (QIC) will launch construction works for its multi-billion dollar entertainment city in a few months, Al-Eqtisadiah reported, citing chief executive officer Michael Reininger.
The company is completing the project groundworks and the visitor experience center (VEC) to attract investors, expecting to open the center in Q3 2019.
QIC hired almost 160 employees last year and is aiming to expand its team to 400 people by the end of this year.
The company aims to provide thousands of job opportunities to locals by 2022, Reininger added.

In April, 2018, King Salman launched Qiddiya in Riyadh, to be the first-of-its-kind entertainment, sports and cultural destination in the Kingdom, Argaam reported.
The project spans on a total area of 334 square kilometers and is located 40 kilometers west of the Saudi capital.
