9 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Sunday.

 

1) A third tranche of the FTSE Russell Emerging Market Index began on Thursday, June 20, 2019, after Saudi stocks were already included in two tranches in March and April.

 

2) Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance Co. will hold off on issuing a cash dividend for fiscal year 2018 in order to strengthen the company’s financial position.

 

3) Al-Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co.’s shareholders approved a 45.4 percent capital hike to SAR 400 million from SAR 275 million through the issue of bonus shares during the general assembly meeting held on June 19, 2019.

 

4) Yanbu Cement Co. said it will pay cash dividend for the second half of 2018 on June 30, 2019.

 

5) City Cement Co.’s board of directors has renamed Prince Abdulaziz bin Mishaal Al Saud as board chairman for the current three-year term started on June 19, 2019.

 

6) Najran Cement Co.'s shareholders have elected a new board of directors for the next three-year term starting this upcoming August 9.

 

7) Shareholders of Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Co. have approved SAR 1.8 million in remuneration for the board of directors for the fiscal year 2018.

 

8) Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Co. shareholders have approved financial statements, board's report, and the auditor's report for fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2018.

 

9) Brent crude on Friday gained 75 cents to reach $65.20/bbl, while WTI crude also increased 36 cents to reach $57.43/bbl.
