The aggregate sales volumes of 17 Saudi cement producers jumped 7.3% to 5 million tons in January, from 4.7 million tons a year earlier, according to recent data released by Yamama Cement Co.

A total of 12 companies reported higher domestic sales, led by Yamama Cement with a 32% year-on-year (YoY) increase, followed by United Cement Industrial Co., which saw a 30% rise.
On the other hand, four cement producers witnessed a fall in sales volumes. Tabuk Cement Co. came first with a 23% YoY drop. Yanbu Cement Co. followed with a 14% YoY decline.
Saudi Cement Co. maintained sales at last year’s level of 470,000 tons.
