Advanced posts 3% profit rise in 9M

Advanced Petrochemical Co. reported a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 567 million in the first nine months of 2019, a rise of 2.5 percent year-on-year (YoY) on higher sales volumes, lower propane and outsourced propylene prices.

 

The profit was also backed by improved consumption of propane and outsourced propylene.

The third quarter net profit after zakat and tax grew by 5.3 percent YoY to SAR 213 million due to a reduction in the prices of propane and outsourced polypropylene, and lower consumption of outsourced propylene.

 

On a sequential basis, Q3 2019 net profit rose 10.8 percent on higher sales volumes, and a reduction in the prices of propane and outsourced polypropylene.

 

The quarterly figures were also driven by higher profit share from SK Advanced Co. Ltd.
