Arabian Cement Company, the first cement company in Saudi Arabia, reported 2014’s net profit of SAR 646.4, a 236 percent increase compared to the last year.

A net profit of SAR 145.6 million was reported for Q4-2014 compared to SAR 133.9 million in Q3.

The company attributed the increase of 2014’s net profit, compared to the last year, to:

1) Increase of sales revenue: SAR 1,720 million this period compared to SAR 1,365 million for the same period previous year (growth of 26%).

2) Subsidiary company performance improvement as a result of prevailing sales prices increase in the Jordanian Market.

3) Recording Impairment Loss of SAR 291 million related to the subsidiary Company in Jordan on the same period previous year.

4) Intangible assets write-off of SAR 14.5 million in the same period previous year.

The increase of Q4-2014’s net profit compared to the same period last year was attributed to:

1) Increase of sales revenue: SAR 430 mln this quarter compared to SAR 349 million for the same quarter previous year (growth of 23%)

2) Subsidiary company performance improvement as a result of prevailing sales prices increase in the Jordanian Market

3) Recording impairment loss of SAR 212 million related to the subsidiary Company in Jordan on the same quarter previous year.

The increase of Q4-2014’s net profit compared to the previous period (Q3-2014) was attributed to the increase of sales revenue: SAR 430 million this quarter compared to SAR 386 million for previous quarter (Growth of 11%).
