Aldrees H1 2023 profit leaps 30% to SAR 140.8 mln; Q2 at SAR 70.2 mln

Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Co. (Aldrees) reported a net profit of SAR 140.8 million for the first half of 2023, a jump of 30% from SAR 108.3 million in the prior-year period.

The profit growth was driven by higher sales of the petroleum and transport services divisions, an increase in other revenues, as well as interest income from sukuk and cash deposits. This was also due to a decrease in selling and marketing expenses despite the rise in general and administrative expenses, financial and Zakat expenses, and lower profit of the joint venture.

 

In Q2 2023, Aldrees posted a net profit of SAR 70.2 million, up 53% from SAR 45.9 million in Q2 2022, driven mainly by strong sales of the petroleum and transport services divisions.

Total shareholders’ equity, no minority interest, reached SAR 1.1 billion as of June 30, 2023, compared to SAR 991 million a year earlier.
