Before minority interest, net earnings reached SAR 20.8 million in Q1 2025, compared to SAR 14.9 million in the year-earlier period. The company incurred losses of SAR 88.5 million in the previous quarter.
Saudi Ceramics cited an increase in revenue, thanks to higher sales volumes and a rise in the average selling prices of tiles and sanitary products.
The company’s gross profit also went up on better average selling prices and lower production costs, especially for heaters.
On the other hand, selling and distribution expenses increased, due to higher transportation costs and fuel prices.
Compared to Q4 2024, the tile producer swung to profits against a net loss of SAR 82.6 million on a slight increase in revenue due to higher sales volumes, mainly for heaters. The company also cited a rise in the average selling prices of tiles and sanitary products.
Total shareholders’ equity, after minority interest, contracted to SAR 1.44 billion as of March 31, 2025, from SAR 1.52 billion a year earlier.
