Shareholders of Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Co. gave the go-ahead for the distribution of a cash dividend at 40% of capital, or SAR 4 a share, for 2023.
The approval was made during the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on June 30, according to a filing to Tadawul.

Shareholders also authorized the board of directors to distribute interim dividends on a semi-annual or quarterly basis for 2024.
In addition, they approved the buyback of 860,000 shares maximum to allocate to the employee share program. The share repurchase will be financed from the company’s cash balance, while the board was authorized to finalize the share buyback within 12 months maximum from the general meeting date.
The repurchased shares will be retained for 10 years maximum from the general meeting date, and the company will follow the applicable regulations in this regard after the expiry of this period.
