Monthly prices issued by Methanex are considered as an indicative price for other producers, as well as for the spot market. The company gives an average of 15% discount to buyers compared to contract prices.
The spot price in China, the world’s biggest importer of methanol, reached $160 per ton, data compiled by Argaam showed.
