US rig count hits lowest in 30 months: Baker Hughes

The US drilling rig count fell for the fifth straight week, declining six units to 479 in the week ended June 28, Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.

 

This is the lowest level since Dec. 17, 2021, when the rig count reached 475.

 

Meanwhile, the gas rig count fell one unit to 97 in the week, the lowest level since June 11, 2021 (96 units).
