Assets held by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), the Kingdom’s central bank, decreased by SAR 14.2 billion month-on-month (MoM) to SAR 1.822 trillion in September 2020, according to data released by the central bank.
When compared to the same month last year, SAMA’s assets fell by SAR 99.1 billion.
SAMA’s investments in foreign securities, which account for 58.6% of its total assets, shed 11% YoY to around SAR 1.067 trillion in September.
