Saudi central bank assets fell SAR 10 bln in September

Assets held by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), the Kingdom’s central bank, decreased by SAR 9.9 billion month-on-month to SAR 1.94 trillion in September, new data showed.

 

When compared to the same month last year, assets increased by SAR 64.2 billion.

Meanwhile, SAMA’s investments in foreign securities, which account for 62 percent of its total assets, declined 2 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.21 trillion in September.
