Saudi central bank assets down SAR 11 bln in October

Assets held by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), the Kingdom’s central bank, declined by SAR 10.9 billion month-on-month to about SAR 1.932 trillion in October, new data released by the central bank showed.

 

When compared to the same month last year, assets increased by SAR 29 billion.

SAMA’s investments in foreign securities, which account for 62 percent of its total assets, declined 3 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.204 trillion in October.
