SAMA’s assets down SAR 39B to SAR 1.82T in April

Assets held by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) decreased by SAR 39 billion month-on-month (MoM) to nearly SAR 1.820 trillion in April 2024.

Compared to April 2023, SAMA’s assets declined by around SAR 2.7 billion, according to data released by SAMA.

SAMA’s investments in foreign securities, which represent more than 56% of its total assets, rose by nearly 1% year-on-year (YoY) to around SAR 1.02 trillion last month.
