Saudi Electricity was set up in 2000 with a capital of SAR 33.8 billion from the merger of all utility companies in Saudi Arabia. The government owns 74.3% stake in the company. The company’s main activities are power generation, transmission and distribution to all economic sectors in Saudi Arabia.
