Tawteen Program 2 to raise employment rates, attract national cadres to quality jobs: Minister

Saudi Arabia’s launch of the second edition of Tawteen Program will increase the efficiency of government authorities in terms of raising employment rates and attracting national cadres to quality, specialized technical and technological jobs, said Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) Ahmed Al-Rajhi.

 

The program comprises three approaches: governance, target setting and knowledge transfer, Al Rajhi added during the program launch ceremony.

 

Six entities are monitoring this program, namely the ministries of commerce, tourism, transport and logistics services, health, municipal, rural affairs and housing as well as industry and mineral resources. These entities were selected according to their readiness for the management of the Saudization file and supervision of almost 70% of private sector employees.

 

Transfer of Saudization duties to the previously-mentioned entities has already started, the minister added, pointing to the formation of various committees at all entities for this purpose.

 

Through the job creation index, the ministry is cooperating with a team of 30 government agencies. It launched a skill accelerator initiative to train and upskill over 320,000 employees, Al Rajhi noted.

 

The HRSD Ministry launched, on Nov. 30, the second edition of Tawteen Program to provide 170,000 jobs, Argaam reported.
