TASI recoups most losses, closes 0.3% lower at 12,021 points
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.3% or 33 points, lower at 12,021 points, recording the lowest close since January.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 9 billion.
The index was down nearly 320 points early today, but recouped majority of the losses.
The markets are awaiting the results of the US Federal Reserve meeting today and tomorrow on interest rate, with indications of a possible increase of about 75 basis points.
Market Index
The session witnessed a decline in majority of shares, led by Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank.
SABIC, Saudi National Bank, stc, Etihad Etisalat, Saudi Electricity, Petro Rabigh and Advanced declined between 1% and 4%.
MEPCO closed at SAR 57 (-4%) after the end of the eligibility of cash dividends.
