TASI hits 5-month low, closes below 12,000 points
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.4%, or 42 points, higher at 11,979 points today, June 15.
Total turnover reached SAR 6.4 billion.
However, the index was up more than 100 points in early trading.
The markets are awaiting the US Federal Reserve’s decision regarding interest rates today, amid expectations of raising it by 75 basis points to control inflation.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco fell 2% to close at SAR 38.45. Al Rajhi Bank and SABIC declined 1% at SAR 89.50 and SAR 107, respectively.
Petro Rabigh, Savola, Riyad Bank, Elm, Bank AlJazira and Advanced edged down between 2% and 6%.
Arab Sea was the top decliner, falling to SAR 108.60. The share is down nearly 40% after falling for the past eight sessions.

On the other hand, Arabian Centres rose 4% to SAR 20.06. The company signed two agreements with Riyad Capital to establish two closed-end, Shariah-compliant real estate funds valued at SAR 6.2 billion.
Wafrah was the top gainer, rising SAR 49.10.
Dar Al Arkan gained 4% to SAR 14.30, recording the highest close in four years.
