TASI falls 1.1% to 12,421 points, turnover at SAR 6.4 bln
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.1%, or 140 points, lower at 12,421 points today, Aug. 23.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 6.4 billion.
The index sank in tandem with global markets, especially the US, due to monetary policy and economic stagnation concerns.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank fell 1% to SAR 38.40 and SAR 90.90, respectively.
SABIC, Petro Rabigh, Tasnee, Yansab, stc, Bank Albilad, Maaden, Alinma Bank, SABIC Agri-Nutrients, ACWA Power and Saudi Kayan declined between 1% and 4%.
Salama Insurance was the top decliner, falling to SAR 25.85 after Q2 2022 losses reached SAR 61.6 million.
SAICO, SAPTCO, Al Abdullatif and Hail Cement slipped between 3% and 4%.
