TASI ends 2023 with 0.3% rise to 11,967 points
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.3%, or 35 points, higher at 11,967 points today, Dec. 31, the highest close since October 2022.
Total turnover reached almost SAR 5.3 billion.
The index gained nearly 1,500 points or 14.2% in 2023.
Market Index
Maaden went almost limit up to close at SAR 48.55 with nearly 7 million shares worth SAR 320 million traded.
eXtra closed at SAR 89.70 (+2%) after the retailer announced its intention to launch an initial public offering for its subsidiary United International Holding Co., which owns Tasheel Finance.
Amiantit rose nearly 10% to SAR 60.20, with almost 350,000 shares traded. The company signed a settlement agreement with a local creditor bank to transfer its entire stake in its wholly owned subsidiary.
Budget Saudi recorded the highest closing since listing at SAR 79 (+1%).
Company Prices
On the other hand, Al Rajhi Bank declined 1% to SAR 86.50.
Shares of Etihad Etisalat, Almarai, City Cement, Zamil Industrial and Yamama Cement fell between 1% and 2%.
