TASI rises 0.3% to 11,921, turnover at SAR 5.7B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.3%, or 35 points, higher at 11,921 points today, Sept. 18.
Total turnover reached almost SAR 5.7 billion.
Markets are awaiting the results of the US Federal Reserve meeting today amid expectations of a rate cut for the first time in more than two years.
Market Index
Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi National Bank rose nearly 1% to SAR 88.10 and SAR 34.55, respectively.
Red Sea was the top gainer, rising almost 10% to SAR 53 amid trading of about 1.8 million shares. The company’s subsidiary signed a SAR 1.52 billion contract with Modern Building Leaders Co. to implement mechanical, electrical and infrastructure works for one of the latter’s projects.
GACO climbed 3% to SAR 18.48, with about 1.3 million shares traded, the highest since last February.
