TASI falls 0.6% to 11,892 points, turnover at SAR 11B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 0.6%, or 69 points, lower at 11,892 points today, Dec. 19.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 11 billion.
Global index provider FTSE Russell will implement the changes announced in its semi-annual index review today.
The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) reduced its reverse repo rate by 25 basis points (bps) to 450 bps from 475 bps. It also cut its repo rate by 25 bps to 500 bps from 525 bps.
Market Index
Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi National Bank fell to SAR 89.90 (-3%) and SAR 33 (-1%), respectively.
ACWA Power closed at SAR 377.60 (-2%).
Shaker, AYYAN, Raydan, Al Arabia, Herfy Foods, Tanmiah and Leejam Sports declined between 2% and 5%.

On the other hand, Saudi Aramco rose by 2% to SAR 29, with more than 100 million shares worth nearly SAR 3 billion traded.
FTSE Russell changed Saudi Aramco’s weight from 1.85% to 2.38% in a single tranche in tandem with the December 2024 quarterly review.
eXtra gained by 3% to SAR 98. The company announced an exceptional dividend of SAR 5 per share for Q4 2024.
Savola Group was the top gainer, rising by 10% to SAR 36.95.
