Saudi Company for Hardware (SACO) is targeting to open eight new stores by the end of 2020, bringing the total number to 40, chief executive Sameer Al-Hamidi told CNBC Arabia on Wednesday.
The company currently operates 32 stores across 18 Saudi cities, and plans to expand mainly in Makkah and Madinah.
"SACO's policy focuses on utilizing its cash flows to implement expansions after distributing dividends," Al-Hamidi said.
"We are able to finance expansions, driven by a clean balance sheet. The company's total debts range between SAR 120 million and SAR 130 million," he added.
"SACO maintained its market share, as it has recently worked on cutting expenses, enhancing reliance on technology," Al-Hamidi noted.
In addition to capitalizing on existing products, SACO aims to introduce new ones to meet customers demand, Al-Hamidi stated, adding that the hardware company has opened a technology department in 15 branches.
The company has strong growth prospects, driven by keenness to develop its services and pursue investments, he concluded.
SACO's Q2 2019 net profit after zakat and tax increased 6.4 percent year-on-year to SAR 21.69 million.
