Jarir temporarily closes all showrooms in Saudi Arabia

Jarir Marketing Co. (Jarir) announced the temporary closure of all showrooms across Saudi Arabia, effective from Friday, March 20, 2020, until further notice.

 

The decision came in line with the Kingdom’s precautionary and preventive measures to control the spread of coronavirus, the company said in a bourse filing on Sunday.

 

The firm further noted that it cannot determine the financial impact of the closure at present, adding that it will disclose any further developments in due course.

 

Jarir also indicated that it is currently working on enhancing its online platform to meet customers’ growing needs.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, the company closed last week 16 showrooms located in shopping centers across Saudi Arabia.
