The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) will resume official trading hours for all listed securities as of Sunday, May 31, 2020, as follows:
- First session: Opening Auction starts at 9:30am to 10am
- Second session: Market Open – trading starts at 10am to 3pm
- Third session: Closing Auction (except for debt instruments and ETFs) starts at 3pm to 3:10pm
- Fourth session: Trade at Last (except for debt instruments and ETFs) starts at 3:10pm to 3:20pm
- Fifth session: Market Close (except for debt instruments and ETFs) starts at 3:20pm to 4pm
- Debt Instruments and ETFs: 3pm to 4pm
Tadawul affirmed that it will continuously take necessary measures to ensure market efficiency and shareholders’ interest, confirming its full capacity to operate its trading system.
Trading hours were temporary reduced for all listed securities from 10am to 1pm, effective March 26 in line with the government’s initiative to control the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia will start easing the COVID-19 curfew restrictions as of today, May 28 until Saturday, May 30, across all cities, except for Makkah. Free movement will be allowed from 6am to 3pm.
The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development also announced lifting of attendance suspension at the main offices for private sector employees, and keeping the number of employees in branches and offices to the minimum.
Furthermore, the public sector employees will gradually return to workplaces in all government agencies and offices as of Sunday, May 31.
