Tadawul trading screen
The Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) launched the Nomu - Parallel Market on Feb. 26, 2017.
Seven companies listed their shares on Nomu post-launch. Currently, Nomu includes 12 companies.
During this period, eight companies moved from Nomu to the main market, namely, Raydan Food Co., Baazeem Trading Co., Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abo Moati for Bookstores Co., Al-Omran Industrial Trading Co., Sadr Logistics Co. (previously Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries Co.), Arab Sea Information Systems Co., Al Kathiri Holding Co. and Thob Al Aseel Co.
In addition, Development Works Food Co. announced, on Sept. 22, that it filed a request for the transition from Nomu to the main market.
The eight firms that moved to the main market reported strong performance, led by Arab Sea shares surging more than 500%, according to data compiled by Argaam.
Al Kathiri followed with a 180% increase, Baazeem (141%), and Al-Omran tailed the list with around 43%.
