Shares of Basic Chemical Industries Co. (BCI) hit their highest price in 13 years, or since 2008, at SAR 50.50, today, Sept. 26.

 

The stock closed today's session 2% higher at SAR 49.50, with a traded volume of 1.6 million shares.

 

Accordingly, the stock soared nearly 50% year-to-date, according to Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) data. 

 

BCI was established in 1973 and listed on Tadawul in 2008. The company manufactures chloralkali, chlorine gas, hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, and sodium hypochlorite.
