Shabab Alghamdi, CCHI’s secretary general
Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) plans to raise the number of beneficiaries to 30 million by 2030, Al-Madina newspaper reported, citing council’s secretary general Shabab Alghamdi.
It also aims to update the business standards of insurance companies and service providers. There are more than 4,500 service providers in the two sectors, according to expert estimates.
In a meeting organized by the Asharqia Chamber, Alghamdi said the health insurance market needs time to make fundamental changes.
He stressed the council’s interest in considering the visions of insurance companies and service providers in order to improve performance and the level of service.
He revealed that CCHI recently launched the unified coding system, which helps to improve the contractual relationship between service providers and insurance companies, in addition to the standard contract.
There are many projects that contribute to improving the working environment and reducing risks among stakeholders, he added.
