Hamad Al-Hammad, Chairman of the National Contractors Committee, said the decision to pay the dues of stalled projects to contractors will help resolve their problems, provide liquidity and reduce financial burdens.
He added that this will help the companies implement and expand their business, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The decision would reflect positively on the contracting sector, through addressing one of the key challenges facing contractors, which is delayed payments, Al-Hammad said.
He indicated that the decision will contribute to boosting the sector and help it achieve Vision 2030 projects.
The Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) stated that Minister of Finance issued two decisions on addressing contracts of stalled projects, as well as offering additional tools to resolve disputes between contractors and government agencies, according to data available with Argaam.
