Takween appoints Majed Nofal as CEO

Takween Advanced Industries Co.’s board of directors approved today, Jan. 8, appointing Majed Nofal as the company’s CEO, based on the nomination and remuneration committee’s recommendation.

In a statement to Tadawul, Takween pointed out that the appointment will be effective as of Jan. 9.

Nofal holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University. Having previously held the CFO and CEO positions, he has a firm experience in corporate management, as he worked in the auditing and assurance services for nine years. Afterwards, he joined Western Bakeries Factory (LUSINE) in Jeddah as financial manager for seven years. Moreover, Nofal was appointed as LUSINE’s CEO after the company was acquired by Almarai Co., where he retained his position for nearly four years.

In 2010, Nofal was named Almarai’s Head of Central Procurement, before being appointed as General Manager of New Business Department. In January 2020, he was appointed as CEO of Almarai, and named Pure Beverages Industry Co.’s CEO in late 2020. Then, he was appointed as CEO of Daily Food Co. (Maestro Pizza) in late 2021.
