Transport ministry issues logistic licenses to Chinese firms

Part of the meetings

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, and the accompanying delegation held a series of meetings with leaders of major Chinese companies in Beijing, where he handed them licenses to carry out logistics activities in the Kingdom.

Among the companies were Kerry Logistics, Sinotrans Almajdouie Middle East, JD Logistics, and Cainiao-Alibaba Group, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Al-Jasser listened to the leaders of these companies who talked about the challenges facing them and how to facilitate their business in the Saudi market.

Moreover, Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Acting Chairman of the Transport General Authority, Rumaih Al-Rumaih, signed agreements with Cainiao-Alibaba Group, J&T Express, and iMile to provide short address services.

He also signed two agreements for training cooperation with the Saudi Logistics Academy.

This came on the sidelines of the Minister of Transport's participation in the opening of the Global Sustainable Transport Forum, held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, from Sept. 25 to 26.
