MRNA accepts Al Ghumlas as non-executive member, names Alrayes as Acting MD

Morabaha Marina Financing Co.’s (MRNA) board of directors accepted on Dec. 18 Waleed Al Ghumlas’s request to be a non-executive board member as of the decision date while maintaining his membership in the board.

The company’s board also decided to name Abdullah Alrayes as an acting executive managing director (MD), starting on Dec. 19, provided that the non-objection procedures from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) are completed, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Alrayes has more than 30 years of financial and economic experience, during which he held many leadership positions, most notably the executive MD of Rana Investment Co. (RIC), in addition to other positions.

Moreover, he holds a master’s degree in economics from Ohio University. He achieved many different executive and leadership programs, the statement added.
