Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stated that Saudi Aramco added large quantities of proven reserves of gas and condensate in the unconventional Jafurah field, the Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported.

The additional confirmed quantities reached 15 trillion standard cubic feet of gas, and 2 billion barrels of condensate, the minister said. This was achieved by applying the highest international standards in estimating and developing hydrocarbon resources in a manner that ensures proper exploitation.

Reserves at Jafurah had reached 229 trillion cubic feet of gas and 75 billion barrels of condensates, the minister said. A major independent consulting company, specialized in authenticating resources and proven reserves, approved the estimates, he added.
