Jazan City for Primary & Downstream Industries inks deals worth over SAR 315M

The signing ceremony

Jazan City for Primary & Downstream Industries (JCPDI) signed three construction and operational contracts, totaling more than SAR 315 million, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The deals are intended for the design and construction of a bridge linking the deposit and re-export area of the industrial island with the city’s port. This is in addition to the establishment of a city support services warehouse, besides the operation and maintenance of the project’s temporary housing.

They were signed with China Harbour Engineering Arabia Co. Ltd, Al Dafe for Trading and Contracting Co., and Walid Maghshi Establishment for Operation and Maintenance.

The scope of work for the first project is to connect the special economic zone (SEZ) to the city’s port and the deposit and re-export area, by creating the necessary infrastructure and developing the site. This will include three bridges, aimed at improving the port’s logistical capacity and the heavy-transport flow, thus leveraging the strategic location and turning the city into a key regional logistics hub.

On the other hand, the scope of work for the second project is represented in the production of a fully functional and operational facility. The project site covers an approximate area of 10.85 hectares.
